agreed, it was a good red card. The rule reads “violent conduct” which trying to kick your opponent is (whether you make contact or not). Had he made contact, it could have been “violent conduct” or “serious foul play”. However, the Greek should be embarrassed by that bad of a flop. Even Duke basketball doesn’t flop that bad.
