AND SCREAMING AT THE REFS ON TV.[/ultimate_heading]

Why refs can’t perform a seemingly simple job was beyond comprehension.  And to make things worse, there is absolutely no accountability. Players, coaches and GMs are constantly scrutinized by the media on a regular basis but for some reason the refs are excused.

As a player, miss a catch, miss a throw, miss a shot, drop a ball and you’ll have to face countless questions. As a coach, you call the wrong play, mismanage the clock, mismanage timeouts and your head is on the chopping block. GMs are absolutely crushed all season long for draft picks and off-season pickups (or lack there of).

So why is it that refs, who have an incredible impact over the outcome of every game can just walk away after the game is over? Did you make a bad call that cost a team the playoffs? No worries, have a great week. Did you call some phantom foul at the end of the game to bail a team out with free throws they didn’t deserve? It’s all good. We’ll just see you next game where you’ll do the same thing all over.
